American death toll in Iraq hits 4000
Posted: 24-03-2008 , 08:30 GMT

american dead american funeralThe number of American troops to die in Iraq has reached 4,000, the U.S. military said on Monday. According to Reuters, the U.S. military said in a statement four troops died late on Sunday when a roadside bomb went off near their vehicle in southern Baghdad. One soldier was injured in the attack.

It should be recalled that the 1,000th U.S. soldier to die was in September 2004, 18 months after the U.S.-led invasion. The toll climbed to 2,000 in October 2005 and 3,000 in December 2006.

According to icasualties.org, 81.3 percent of the soldiers killed have died in attacks by Al-Qaeda in Iraq fighters, Sunni groups loyal to Saddam and Shiite militias. The remainder died in non-combat related incidents. Roadside bombs caused most of the casualties, with small arms fire the second biggest killer.

Over 70,000 deaths According to U.S. media reports, there are well below 5,000 U.S. soldiers who have been killed in Iraq. However, this data appears to be very misleading. Why? Because many tens of thousands of American soldiers have apparently been killed to-date, as a result of being exposed to radiation poisoning from the indiscriminate killing machines of U.S. military weaponry. Ironically, the only Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) that Americans soldiers have found in Iraq are "Made in America". http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/home/Frontpage/2008/03/21/02286.html
