Posted: 29-08-2008 , 21:27 GMT

Tunisia Zine El AbidineTunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali partially reshuffled his cabinet, tapping half-a-dozen new ministers for youth, economics, agriculture and cultural portfolios, his prime minister said Friday.

According to AFP, the cabinet includes four new faces -- presidential advisor Slim Tletli becomes the new employment minister and Tunisia's ambassador to Geneva, Samir Laabidi, takes over the ministry of youth and sports.

Also new are Abdessalem Mansour, a former banking head, tapped as agricultural minister and housing minister Slaheddine Malouche. Two foreign affairs secretaries, Hatem Ben Salem and Raouf El Basti, become the new education and cultural ministers, respectively.

Several new state secretaries were also appointed. The last partial cabinet reshuffle took place about a year ago.
