A new fatwa published in Egypt determines that the source of all the existing pigs in the world is Jews, who were cursed by Allah. The new edict was issued by Sheikh Ali Osman from the Egyptian Waqf ministry.
Due to their Jewish roots, Sheikh Osman says, it is permissible to slaughter all the pigs. The religious scholar was quoted as saying by a Jordanian newspaper that he personally believes the source of the pigs is Jews and thus the consumption of pork meat is banned in Islam.
He added that a person who consumes swine flesh is considered as one who consumed another "impure person." Sheikh Osman said his fatwa is being supported by the heads of al Azhar, but they fear to publicly confirm it. He said he still wait for response from al azhar fatwa committee to get an official approval for his new edict.
Would anyone dare to declare that Allah created anything unclean?
Pigs were known to have many intestional diseases in the meat. That is why they were declared not good for human consumption by Moses. Now if a pig is "dirty" it is mainly because the pig herder does not keep them clean.
Ishmael, the father of all the Arabs, who was sent back as the Prophet, to bring religion back to his descendants, is ashamed of statements like that.
Pork is banned in Islam for hygenic reason, the same reason why jews don't eat it either. This racist comment has nothing to do with Islam, I just wonder how stupid and ignorant people like that gets to positions in the waqf ministry in Egypt.
Moslems don't eat pork. Look at their nobel prizes.

The Muslim cleric who issued this ludicrous fatwa forgets that the origins of Halal comes from Kosher laws that prohibit the consumption of pork by Jews. How sad it is that Arab propaganda and rampant anti-semitism has replaced a common history shared by both Jews and Muslims.
This passage, I thought, is biased and inaccurate and leaves the wrong impression in the minds and hearts of many readers. The overall notion that one is most likely to get from this passage is that the so-called fatwa, coming from the ministry of religious affairs in Egypt represents every muslim on earth and every Egyption and every Arab. Who is Sheik Osman? Possibly, he does not exist. If he does, he could well be ill-informed and biased and stupid and what his thinks holds no water and doesn't matter. I believe the publishing passages like that does help to create an appropriate atmosphere for peace and security anywhere in the world.
Moses a prophet to Muslims jews and Christians bought the first command not to eat pigs. But how can any of our minds conceive or believe that the Jews could be the scource of all pigs? They are NOT. It is a problem in the psyche that is deeply embedded to hate Jews and blame all problems on them, defying even the sense of our own minds. This happens in relationship breakdown and people in anger project ridiculous arguements and say what they dont mean. the problem is deeper than swine flu deeper than what we eat. which affects the body. It is not physical food that causes thoughts like this. But what we feed into our minds leads to 'unclean' (wrong)thinking and attitudes.
This is the most ridiculous and closeminded thing I have ever read in my entire life. We are all human beings which evolved from the same ancestors. The only thing that divides us is our unending differences caused by our reliance on religion. What we need in this world is peace and understanding.
you egyptians keep on making fatawi. You just want to control the islamic religion as you want.. if this is what you realy should do stupid, this should be written in the Quraan... stop making people hate your religion and get annoyed just by the word Muslim... Pigs aren't forbidden in this reason, it has nothing to do with jews...
