The Egyptian director Khaled Yousef and the actress Yusra left Cairo for San Francisco to attend the film “Al Assefah” (the Thunderstorm) which will be screened along with other films on the competition list of San Francisco film festival, according to Akhbar Al Yawm.

Paradoxically, the movie was nominated by the festival director despite the fact that one of its scenes features the American flag being burnt.

On the other hand, director Khaled Yousef is still waiting for the approval of the art labels censorship department to start filming “Jawaz Bi Qarar Jumhouri“ (Marriage by Presidential Resolution) as he has finished identifying the filming locations and held many sessions with the movie’s stars.

The censors have made some remarks regarding the title of the movie which tells the story of a young man and a girl who went to the president to obtain a resolution ordering their marriage. This is due to the many problems, which the couple faces in accomplishing their marriage.

The film director has protested against these remarks to the censorship department head, Madkour Thabet who promised him to refer the case to the grievance committee -- Albawaba.com
