The Moroccan TV channel 2 will air Thursday the new TV film Amwaj Al Barr (Land Waves) directed by Mohammed Ismael and scripted by Bitsalem Hmaish in his first writing experience for the TV.
The film tackles the internal migration from the deserts to cities through telling the story of young men who came to the city searching for a better life but faced a completely different situation which destroys their dreams.
Costarring in he film are Mohammed Al Bastawi, Thurayya Jubran, Khulood Al Btaiwi and Fatma AL Rakraki.
Channel 2 sought the help of experienced film directors to make TV films within the framework of the new strategy set by the channel to enhance the local drama, series and Moroccan film production. This is due to the fact that the Moroccan viewer tends to intensively resort to local production through which the channel has achieved success in its programs after its previous dependence on imported foreign production.
The channel has wrapped up four films this year for screening during the fasting month of Ramadan. These films include Amwaj Al Barr (Land Waves) by Mohammed Ismael, Al Bakmah by Faridah Balyazeed and costarring Samia Akrio and Rashid Al Wali, Nihayat Usbooa' Fi al Araesh costarring Mohammed Muftah and Thurayya Al Alawi and Qalaq (Tension) by Hakim Al Noori and costarring Younes Makri, Alia Erkab and Aminah Rashid -- Albawaba.com
