‘LAU’ awards stars
According to the London daily Elaph, the ‘LAU’ university in Lebanon surveyed over 6,000 students in 2008 to find out their favored stars.
After the survey an award ceremony was held where all the stars that won were invited to accept their awards.
The Lebanese artist Faris Karam won best Lebanese male artist, and Nancy Ajram won best Lebanese female artist. Marwan Khoury won the award for a complete artist and musician. Josef Atyeh won the rising artist award and Rola Saed won the award for best video clip for the song “Nawyahalo” (I’ll Make Him Pay). Nishian won best co-host and Marcil Ghanim best political program co-host award.
The students chose Sireen Abed Al Noor as best actress and the artist Yousif Al Khal as best actor. Hadi Shararah won best music distributer.
Asi Al Rahabani, the son of the artist Ziad Rahabani, won best director for the film “Beirut, his friend received the award because of the death of the artist Mansour Al Rahabani.
Nancy Ajram’s pregnancy did not stop her from getting up on stage and dancing to the music of her song “Betfakar Fe Eh” (What Are You Thinking About).
