‘Where is My Heart’ Tells Story of Yusra, Abla Kamel Friendship
Egyptian director Magdi A’mirah will begin this month shooting his series Ayna Albi (Where is My Heart?) scripted by Magdi Saber and costarring Yusra, Abla Kamel, Hasan Hosni and Mahmoud Qabil.
“The 30-episode series is about two girls, Faten (Yusra) and Wissal (Abla Kamel) who have been friends since the university study days and tackles issues such as love, marriage, childbirth and divorce as if it is monitoring our daily life. It puts solutions for many issues including education, private lessons and girls' problems in Egypt through Faten who works for a major contracting company and faces many problems which we face daily. The series also tackles the Internet issue and its impacts on our children in addition to the adolescence stage and the problems that the parents face at this stage with their children,” Magdi Saber told the daily al Gomhuria.
He added, “the series belongs to the romance genre and raises one inquiry whether love does still exist in our age, the materialistic age during which everything is for sale even the feelings.”
The screenwriter said, “this is my third work with Abu A’mirah whom I previously collaborated with in Harat al Mahrousah and al Ragol al Akhar (The Other Man) which were successful. It is my first work with Yusra whom I saw as the character I was writing about as was the case with Abla Kamel.”
The series will be produced by the Media Production City to be one of the huge productions nominated to be aired next Ramadhan -- Albawaba.com
