Same name but different game: Farah Bseiso stars in TV show with duplicated title "Halawat Al Rouh"
Oh my, "Goodness of the Soul" is "Halawat Al Rouh" ever becoming synonymous with controversy. We all know there has been a lot of backlash by the conservative crew against Haifa's Wehbe film of that title, and now a TV show has decided to play copycat. Palestinian actress Farah Bseiso is set to star in the upcoming television drama with a duplicate title to that of the Lebanese singer's.
According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, "Moon and Stars" will be producing the drama that will co-star Egyptian actor Khaled Saleh, Syrian actors Qusai Khouly, Maksim Khalil, Ghassan Massoud and Kinda Alloush. Lebanese actors Rula Hamadah and Rodney Haddad will also take part in the drama directed by Shawqi Al Majery.
Farah will tackle the role of "Dr. Ruba", a mother in her 40s living in Cairo. Ruba was previously married to an Egyptian man but gets a divorce after having a daughter with him. Most of Farah’s scenes are filmed with Khaled Saleh and Rula Hamada as she appears with long hair, a new look from the regular pixie cut she carries in most dramas.
