Abed Fahed "Accused" of abandoning Syria and being too 'stuck up'
Syrian actor Fahed Abed was recently held guest on the talk show “Al Muttaham” (The Accused), with show hosts Rudolf Hilal and Rajaa Nasreddine on LBCI.
Abed kicked off his interview with the famous saying “Innocent until proven guilty,” and brushed of accusations that he’s fled Syria in favour of living abroad for fear of the current unstable condition sweeping his country.
The expat clarified that he’s been residing in Dubai since 2003, but was in Syria in 2011 through to 2012 when the Syrian crisis began. He was there filming scenes for the drama “Al Wilada Men Al Khaserah” (Birth from the Waist).
He further denied rumors that he’d deliberately steered away from Syrian dramas and focused on Egyptian/other productions instead.
The actor also defended himself against accusations that he’s arrogant, explaining that although the characters he played were representative of a stuck-up person, he’s actually a very down-to-earth person in reality.
When the roles were reversed and it was Abed’s turn to accuse other celebs of whatever he thought of them, he “accused” Lebanese actress and singer Cyrine Abdelnour of being very ambitious, Lebanese actress Ward El Khal of being elegant, Lebanese actress and former beauty queen Nadine Noujaim of being selfish in a positive way, and Syrian actress Sulafa Mimar of being overly sensitive. Wow!
Abed added that Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakherji has been choosing the wrong roles to play lately, while actor Duraid Lahham is by far one of the most famous and well-respected Syrian actors there is.
Following all those “accusations,” Abed refused to make any against Syrian actor Qusai Khouli, Syrian actress Raghda and Lebanese star Youssef El Khal, whom he said he very much admires.
