According to the London daily Elaph, in the middle of June actress Abeer Sabri will start filming scenes for the sitcom “Villa Ji Ji”. The story of the new sitcom revolves around a woman married to a businessman living a huge villa called “Villa Ji Ji”. Sabri’s character is mean and cruel to her maids to the point where they start to hate her. Suddenly her husband becomes bankrupt and he is forced to sell all his wealth with the exception of the villa and leaves the country before he is sent to jail.
Abeer then turns the villa into a hotel and tries to convince the maids to work for her, but then they get revenge from her because she needs them now unlike before. The new sitcom is written by Ahmad Haykal and directed by Ali Al Asaal. The new sitcom stars the famous actor Yousif Fowzi, Yousif Eid and Hasan Abed Al Fatah.
On the other hand, Abeer was greatly criticized because of her film “Asafeer Al Lail” (Night Birds) which was her came back to the cinema after taking off her “Hijab” (Muslim women head cover). Allegations had it that Abeer’s character in the film was an inappropriate one. As for now she is participating in three different television drama series “Muntaha Al Ishiq”, “Mamlakit Al Jabal” and “Imra’ah Fe Wartah”.
