With the summer season at its end, the Arab emirate of Dubai will conclude its summer's concerts with a unique musical performance by English Sir Elton John at the Dubai Creek - Golf & Yacht Club, today.
The UAE daily Al Bayan, reported on Thursday that the international super star's concert will set up Dubai as the pioneer in the Arab World entertainment scene to the whole world, furthermore adding an exceptional year for Sir Elton John.
John has started this year with the highly acclaimed album "Songs From The West Coast", followed by double BRIT Award Nominations (for Best Male and Best Video) for "I Want Love".
The event's organizers, Padma Coram of The Talent Brokers Company, promises to carry the largest organized concert ever staged in the UAE. Adding that the MBC satellite TV channel will record the entire concert to telecast it early in December.
The organizers also added that Sir Elton is expected to perform a 90-minute concert, which might be extended, depending on the audience’s response, "the concert, which is expecting a crowd of 15,000 people, will start at 9pm and the gates will open by 6pm."
John has earlier kicked off his international summer tour at Skyreach Place in Kelowna, Canada. The concert was a huge success with 7000 tickets sold from the first 12 minutes of their availability. Marking another success in Canada, 13000 tickets were sold in 90 minutes at his Saskatoon concert.
The flamboyant talented Elton John is considered one of the biggest names in the recording industry, dominating the charts at home and in the United States. Being a great singer, composer and piano player, he was able to capture the public's attention with many memorable appearances. – Albwaba.com
