After becoming a Qatari citizen Kathem films in Doha
Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher, who was recently granted the Qatari citizenship, will be filming his new song “Ethibini” (You Will Love Me) in the form of a video clip in three different Arab countries. El Saher will be working with the Jordanian producer Hussein De’abis who is now working on the scenario for the new clip.
According to the Qatari daily Al Raya, El Saher has chosen to film the video clip for the new song in Dubai, Beirut and Doha. El Saher is continuing to work with the Jordanian producer Hussein De’abis, where De’abis has produced “Ini Ohibok” (I Still Love You) with the Syrian actress Solaf Fawakhrji, “Ahibini” (Love Me) with Egyptian actress Hanan Turk, “Hareb” (The Run Away), and “Libnaya” (The Little Girl).
The new song which was written by the late poet Nizar Qabani and composed by El Saher will be the first song from the new album “Yamoyat Rajol Mahzoom” (Days of a defeated man) which was released last month. The second version of the new album will be released in the upcoming few days where it will have a new song added to it “Nai”. The song was written by prince Bader Abd El Muhsen and composed by Muhammad Shafeeq.
El Saher has removed the song from the first version because he thought that the late singer Talal Malah sang it few years back; however, El Saher found out that the late singer did not include in any of his albums only sang it at a gathering.
The Iraqi/Qatari singer has received invitations to sing at both Jarash and the Carthage Festivals; however, he did not say whether he will or won’t accept the invitations.
Aside from being a Canadian citizen El Saher has received the Qatari Citizenship just few weeks ago.
