Renowned Egyptian star Nabila Obeid has passed her five-day visit in Beirut last week with a severe toothache, according to the Egyptian daily, Akhbar Al Yom.

Heading to Lebanon to attend Ashtar Film Festival and to record an interview with one of the Lebanese satellite channels, Obeid was forced to live on pain killers throughout her visit, which also came to be a part of her ongoing search for an inspirational story for her future projects.

The star's dentist confirmed that the pain was only from one of the molars' nerves, adding that she is now in good condition, and the pain has totally disappeared.

In response to the new acting phenomena people are seeing recently on the big screen, Obaid told the Kuwaiti daily, Al Rai Al Aam, last week that she is not keeping in pace with the new artistic developments. “I watch what is going on and do not want to downplay the work of anybody but we need to review many of our affairs. One success prompted producers to try again and again. Things are now going back to the right track and the year 2003 will witness a new phenomenon in Cairo that will be different from that which prevailed over the past years.”

The star confirmed that true faith is something she mostly loves in her character, “I am a strong believer. I performed Umra 9 times and I’m willing to do it again and again as long as I live.” – Albwaba.com
