Prominent Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker arrived in Qatar to take part in the Doha Song Festival, marking his second time participating in the big event. Reporters were eager to have interviews with Fadel, but he apologized by saying that he was too exhausted due to his intensive activity during Eid holiday. Fadel had just recently held a concert alongside Lebanese singer Nawal Al Zoughbi in Beirut.
According to the London based Elaph, prominent UAE singer Ahlam had ran into Fadel accidentally in the lobby of his hotel and joked with him by telling him not to give a press release and to try and avoid reporters, Fadel found it a good excuse and told the reporters that he can not turn down any request from his colleague Ahlam and did not hold any interviews prior to his performance.
Fadel had revealed earlier that he is traveling on the 15th of February to Egypt where he intends to stay for one and a half month to work on his new album after the outstanding success of his last album "Sidi rohi".
A new video clip will be shot at the end of this month entitled "Habibi Ta'la" (My Love Come) to be directed by Saeed Marouq. Fadel is also signing contracts for the year 2004, to hold concerts all over the world including Australia, and Europe alongside Egyptian singer Shireen Abdul Wahab.
Fadel is also due in Kuwait where he is holding a concert as part of his participation in the Kuwaiti shopping festival "Halla Febrayer" (Hello February); the concert is expected to witness a huge success.
The duet "New Year" between Egyptian singer Shireen and Fadel has proven great success especially due to the way the video clip was filmed and the timing of its release, which was during New Year's Eve.
Shireen and Fadel held numerous performances together in Lebanon, Canada and the United States of America. All their concerts were marked with remarkable success due to the fact that both have reached a point where their popularity is expanding at a fast rate. -Albawaba.com
