UAE singer Ahlam has denied circulating rumors that she depends on her husband’s fortune to support her singing career and stressed that she receives a total of one million US dollars for every album she releases. The singer revealed that she had signed a contract with Alam El Phan Production Company to submit 3 albums, each for one million, and she has so far submitted one.

According to the Saudi daily, Al Riyadh, Ahlam stressed that the support she receives from her husband is far from financial, but that of a loving husband who respects her career and does not interfere in the decisions she makes. Ahlam added that her first priority in her life is her son, Fahed, and her husband, and everything else come after that.

Recently, A UAE court has released the verdict in the lawsuit by Ahlam against the Arabic magazine Zahret Al Khaleeg stating that the latter is innocent of all accusations made by the singer.  The case goes back a year and a half when the singer filed a lawsuit against the magazine for publishing lies about her in one of their articles regarding her marriage

The magazine had written about an incident that occurred to Ahlam in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Bahrain when a court looked into a lawsuit filed by a local boutique owner against the singer demanding that she be forbidden from leaving the country. The complaint was filed over the fact that the owner of the store claims that the singer is in debt to him for an amount of over 8 thousand Dinars.

On a different note, Ahlam has finally returned to pursuing her singing career after taking time off due to her pregnancy and taking care of her newborn baby boy “Fahad”. Since her return, Ahlam has held several concerts around the Arab world and is scheduled to hold more in London and Paris
