Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka has been holding extensive work sessions with screenwriter Midhat Al Adel and director Tareq Al Arian to prepare for his upcoming film “The Dealer”, which filming is scheduled to begin in February.
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, the film is based on true story about an Egyptian who had immigrated to Finland and due to unfortunate circumstances he begins to lead the life of a drug dealer.
Al Adel stated that the film reflects the lives of Egyptian youths who immigrate abroad in search of a better life; but due to the fact that they are not familiar with the country they are in, they take the wrong paths.
Actress Muna Shalabi will costar in the film alongside Ahmad and the remaining cast is yet to be decided. The film will be shot in three different countries, Turkey, Russia, and Finland.
On a similar note, Ahmad has refused to be solely characterized as an action hero, asserting that he has the ability to play any role he is given.
Previously, Ahmad decided that “The Italian War” would be his last action movie, due to the numerous injuries he has sustained while filming. The actor has always insisted on performing his own stunts, and has undergone several surgeries and suffered broken bones as a result.
