For over a week, young Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka seemingly disappeared from the scenes, turning off his cellular phone, as many searched for him.

Turns out Ahmad had taken his wife and children on a short vacation after learning that his latest film, “The Italian War” was enjoying success.

According to the London based weekly, Laha, Ahmad felt it was time he took a break from his hectic schedule to spend a few days with his family.

On a different note, Ahmad announced that he will return to the small screen after several years, to star in the new television drama series “Saker 62” (Eagle 62). Director Nader Jalal nominated Ahmad for the role.

The drama consists of 30 episodes, and also stars Hanan Turk, Abla Kamel, Hassan Hussni, Waheed Saif, Izzat Abu Ouf, and Hussein Imam.

The series tackles the issue of national security and acts of terrorism, which have been spreading rapidly over the past few years, demonstrating how they have affected the economy, tourism, and everyday life in Egypt.

The last drama Ahmad took part in was “Al Zawaj Ala Warak Sulphain” (Marriage on Paper), alongside actress Muna Zaki, which revolved around scandalous, secret and unofficial marriages.
