Young Egyptian actor Ahmad Fishawi denied circulating rumors accusing him of getting married to Hind Hamdi Hinawi under civil law, a marriage that is not officially registered, and asserted that he had never asked to marry her. Hind al-Hinawi, décor designer, reported to the police that Fishawi had married her and accused him of asking her to abort the child after he discovered that she was pregnant.
Fishawi stressed in the statement he gave at the police station that charges against him are not true, asserting that he is a religious person, and would never think of doing anything against the teachings of Islam.
Hind insisted on her complaint assuring the police that young Fishawi was responsible of her five-month pregnancy and demanded that tests on DNA should be done to prove the biological father of the child.
The story began when both Fishawi and Hind were working together on a comedy drama where they clicked and one thing led to another and he asked her to marry him according to piece of paper without going public about it. Four weeks after filming the drama ended, Fishawi told Hind that everything between them is over and described their relationship as a mere whim.
During their relationship, they used to meet at Ahmad's apartment in Cairo or in his father's apartment in Dukki district. After Hind told Fishawi that she was pregnant he offered to marry her on one condition that she gets rid of the baby. Hind refused to go through an abortion and Fishawi managed to deceive her and took the piece of paper that proves her marriage to him. Hind insisted that Fishawi's parents, actor Farouq Fishawi and actress Sumaia Al Ulfi were aware of their son's marriage to her.
From his side Hind’s father, Dr. Hamdi Abdo, said that his daughter is not honored by what is happened but from an actor whose father was a drug addict this is an expected reaction. He also added that after his daughter proves that Fishawi is the father he will divorce her because Ahmad is not capable of taking care of her.
Dr. Hamdi added that Fishawi tried to convince Hind that it is not forbidden in religion to abort the child if she paid blood money the worth of 20 camels! –Albawaba.com
