Ahmad Helmi’s film grosses one million

The Egyptian actor Ahmad Helmi’s latest film “Asef Ala El Izaj” (Sorry for the Interruption) has accomplished great success in movie theaters, grossing close to a million Egyptian pounds daily.  It is the most popular film of the summer season.

   The film “Hasan Wa Marqas,” starting famous Egyptian comedian Adel Imam and Egyptian actor Omar Al Sharif is being screened in more movie theaters, but it is only grossing between 500 to 700 thousand Egyptian pounds daily.

 Many predicted that Ahamd Helmi’s film would fail because it was released during the high competition of the summer season.  The film also received positive reviews by critics.
