Young Egyptian actor Ahmad Hilmi is currently preparing to begin shooting the first scenes of his upcoming film “Tharf Tare’e” (A Case of an Emergency).
The film revolves around a young man who falls in love with a woman that is a fanatic of the late Egyptian legendary singer Abdul Halim Hafez. The film is written by Bilal Fadel and directed by Wael Ihsan, and falls under the comedy genre.
Hilmi has revealed that most of the films he starred in were comedy for he aims at making people laugh. The actor stressed that he finds himself more able to present comedy films than ones that tackle causes or social problems.
Ahmad stressed that his ultimate goal is to be able to present more serious films that aim at giving out a message of some kind, but in the meantime he is concentrating his ability on what he does best, which is comedy films. Ahmad revealed that he was very thankful for the significant success of his latest film “Zaki Shan”, which achieved millions of Egyptian pounds in profit.
Ahmad noted that he is reading film scripts in hoping of finding one that will suit his character and be as successful as his previous films. The actor stressed that he is hoping to be able to have chosen a new film to present in the summer season, but until this point that possibility is yet uncertain.
