French doctors who are currently treating Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki for lung cancer have revealed that the actor's health is gradually improving and can be taken back to Cairo next week and resume treatment there. The decision came after medical tests were taken and showed that there will be no need for operating and so the treatment can be done in Egypt.
With regards to the constant pain the actor is feeling in his chest, it was revealed that it is mainly due to the fact that tubes are being inserted in the actor to examine his lungs and not because of his illness. According to the Egyptian based daily, Al Akhbar, a no visitors sign has been posted on the actor's hospital room because of the influx of people coming to see him and check on his health condition. An Egyptian embassy official in France revealed that rumors of the actor is not suffering from a severe case of depression over his illness, and that the only reason all communication with him has been forbidden is due to the fact that he is in need of resting.
Doctors had recently asserted that the actor’s condition is easily treatable and that he won’t have to stay in France for a long period of time. One of the doctors announced that Ahmad is residing in the hospital on a full time basis and only leaves his room to get fresh air. He added that other than undergoing tests and being treated, the actor is living a completely normal life.
The medical tests Ahmad underwent in France have resulted in his diagnosis of lung cancer. Zaki headed to France to undergo medical treatment, after strict orders were given from Egyptian President Husni Mubarak to have the actor treated in Paris due to a sudden failure in his health. The President also stressed that the actor’s medical treatment will be covered financially by the government.
The actor was first treated in his home for over five days after he was struck with a sever lung infection due to excessive smoking, which resulted in the accumulation of water in the lungs. He was then taken to a local private hospital and doctors ordered him to immediately stop smoking for his life was in danger and when nothing more could be done for him in Egypt, the President ordered his transferal to France.
The Egyptian hospital was forced to forbid any visitors to the actor after an influx of actors and actresses started coming to check on his health. It was revealed that the illness the actor is suffering from can only be treated in France or the United States of America. –Albawaba.com
