Egyptian actor Ahmed Hilmi is gearing up to take a starring role in a quiz show along with actress Ghada Adel, whose husband Magdi Al Hawwari will direct, according to Akhbar Al Nugoum magazine.
The episodes, which were scripted by Magdi Al Kotch, are about historical love stories. Hilmi and Adel perform the roles of stars in these stories, including Romeo and Juliet, Qais and Laila and other characters.
The show is suposed to captivate people with a new comedy style.
An unlimited budget has been allocated to the program, which will be aired by an Arab satellite channel during Ramadan.
The program marks the second meeting between Hilmi and Adel after their performance in the film Esa’f 55 (Rescue 55), which was also directed by Hawwari -- Albawaqba.com
