Celebrity dark secrets revealed in new weekly program "Al Khaznah" (The Safe)
The Dubai satellite television channel held a press conference to announce the launch of the new weekly program "Al Khaznah" (The Safe) that will be hosted by journalist Amir Kararah, who will feature celebrity guests from around the Arab world.
According to the Middle East news portal Elaph, during the conference, screen shots were exhibited of the episodes that have been recorded, where guests enter a special studio that has been constructed to look like a safe and they must make first time confessions regarding their lives and career.
During one of the episodes that were recorded featuring Kuwaiti famous journalist Halima Poland, she admitted to receiving gifts in the amount of one million US dollars from the late ousted Libyan President Muamar Gaddafi. Halima had stated that after the revolution broke out in Libya she was asked to give back the gifts on the basis that they are the rights of the Libyan people.
Syrian actor Maksim Khalil on the episode that he was guest on that brought with him a hand grenade and said that if he had it before the revolution in Syria broke out he would have used it to commit suicide so he would not witness the tragic events taking place in his country. He stated that he will keep the bomb in a safe and secret place where no one can get to it.
Egyptian actress Mai Izz El Din admitted that she lives with a big void in her life due to the lack of being involved with the right man. And Moroccan actress Maisa Moghrabi revealed that her ex-husband used to beat her, but stated that she used to fight back.
Lebanese controversial singer Maya Diab denied that her husband is a greedy man and Egyptian director Khaled Yousif admitted to being betrayed by women in his life and that many people tried to take advantage of him.
It was revealed that the budget for the program reached 1.5 to 2 million US dollars and it will be remarketed on a number of satellite channels after it airs on Dubai TV.
On his part, host Amir Kararah stated that at first he was not excited about returning to television hosting, but when the idea of the program was introduced to him he became very anxious to implement it. He said that the producing company had selected the stars to be held guest and he had not met most of them in real life. Amir noted that he avoided talking about politics with his guests due to the fact that people are sick and tired of political events taking place in the region and are in need of good entertainment.
