Algerian police arrest Maysam Nahas

Lebanese artist Maysam Nahas appeared as a guest on the Algerian television show “Dazayer Sho,” hosted by Sofyan Dani.

According to the London daily Elaph, Maysam’s trip to Algeria was delayed after she contracted a mysterious virus upon her return from Lebanon from Dubai. 

The political crisis in Lebanon also prevented her from traveling.  Maysam called the producer of the program and told them that it would be impossible for her to leave her family behind as such time.

During her stay in Algeria Maysam also advertised for her new album “Mahdoom” (Adorable), which is becoming a hit in Algeria.

While in Algeria, Maysam was arrested by the police for not wearing a seatbelt while driving. Maysam went to the police department willingly and sang her new song “Mahdoom” for the chief of police.

Maysam said that she is happy the police in Algeria take their laws seriously and treat everyone equally.
