Egyptian artist Ali Al Haggar is currently wrapping up his new album, which contains a song written by the late Salah Jahin entitled Dumua’ Al Rigal (Men’s Tears).
The song was composed by Mohammed Al Sheikh, who has resumed his composition work after a long sabbatical, according to the Arabic daily Al Bayan.
The album, which which so far has no title, includes another five songs: Farhat Albena (Our Heart’s Happiness), written by Mohammed Bahgat and composed by Ali’s brother, Ahmed Al Haggar; Zahrat Al Ikhlas (Loyalty Flower), written by Ashraf Amer and composed by Farouq Al Sharnoubi and two songs by the poet Fuad Haddad Yal Arousa; (Bride), composed by Mohammed Ezzat and Nathra Nathra; (Look Look), composed by Abdel Azim Eweidah; and an untitled fifth one composed by Riyad Al Hamshari and written by Ibrahim Abdel Fattah.
Haggar is also planning to cover the only late Egyptian singer Abdel Halim Fafez’s Gulf song, Ya Hali (My Relatives).
In his latest summer concerts, Haggar has performed lyrics by the late poet Nizar Qabbani, Assbah Endi Alan Bunduqiyyah (Now I Have a Gun) composed by the late Egyptian musician Mohammed Abdel Wahab.
“It is a salute from me to the struggle of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Territories against the brutal Israeli aggression. I have decided to sing this song in all my upcoming concerts until Palestine is liberated,” Haggar told the daily - Albawaba.com
