Ali al Haggar Sings Turkish Cadences

Egyptian singer Ali al Haggar reiterated that there would be a new style and a different form in his upcoming songs, as he would sing Turkish cadences.  

The songs were written by Nasser Rashwan, composed by Amir Abdel Masjeed and remade by a Turkish musician “in a manner different from what is available currently on the singing arena,” Haggar told the London based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat. 

He added, “In my new plan I shall review singing poems which I have recently put aside despite my voice broad spectrum which helps me sing difficult songs.” 

“I like to sing in the Egyptian dialect more than in classical Arabic because the first reaches the hearts of people quicker. Therefore I am keen on singing a song in the people dialect although I prefer the top language and strong words rather than the trivial ones. The present songs do not belong to the singing art, as their words are what the public at large repeat everyday. This is not singing and has nothing to do with it,” said Haggar -- Albawaba.com
