Alissa denies being jealous of Haifa Wahbi
Lebanese singer Alissa denied recent allegations by Lebanese singer Haifa Wahbi accusing Alissa of being jealous of her. Alissa stressed that she is not jealous of Haifa nor of anyone in the entertainment world, for the mere fact that she is well content with herself and is confident of her talent and looks.
According to the London based daily, Al Quds Al Arabi, Haifa’s comments came as a result of the treatment she has been experiencing from Alissa, in which the latter had ignored her at several occasions. Alissa revealed that she had run into Haifa by accident and when she was still in a state of depression over the loss of her father and she simply did not feel like being social with anyone.
Alissa is currently living a state of melancholy over the drop in record sales of her latest album “A7la Dunia” (The Perfect World). The singer expressed extreme anger towards her production company Rotana and demanded a more extensive advertising campaign be undertaken for the album.
Despite the fact that Rotana had held the biggest campaign for Alissa’s album, amongst all the other albums by other singers it released, it was not bringing any significant profit as was expected. The album contains 13 songs and was recorded using Super Audio recording system, which is used for the first time in the Middle East, and marks her first with Rotana.
Alissa revealed that the delay of releasing her album (The Perfect World) was only due to technical reasons in addition to some personal reasons. The death of Alissa's father just before the release of the album was one of the main reasons for the postponement. –Albawaba.com
