Lebanese singer Alissa has finally agreed to enter the acting world by starring in a new film by poet Baha Al Din Mohammad, in his first film writing experience. The singer gave her acceptance after countless doubts fearing that entering the cinema may reflect negatively on her singing career.
A male actor has not yet been chosen to star alongside Alissa, after Egyptian actor Ahmad Al Sakka apologized for not being able to accept his nomination due to the fact that he is preoccupied with filming his new film “Al Haris” (The Bodyguard). Actor Karim Abdul Aziz had also turned down the offer since he has not completed shooting the scenes for his new movie “Abu Ali”.
It is revealed that the only actor who may perfectly fit the role is Egyptian actor Ahmad Izz, who recently completed shooting the final scenes of his upcoming film “Malaki Iskandaria”.
Alissa was recently in Syria where she held a spectacular performance marked with remarkable success. Thousands of Syrians anxiously came to hear the singer, who sang a collection of her new and old songs, and interacted with her throughout the concert.
After the concert in Syria, Alissa headed off to Turkey to take part in a special event sponsored by Pepsi. the singer then moved on and went to France to participate in a series of concerts hosted by Rotana, her production company, along with a number of other singers. Once the singer returns from Paris she will take time off to rest after a busy summer schedule. –Albawaba.com
