Alterations force Ahlam to postpone release
Prominent UAE singer Ahlam has made some major alterations to her new album, which she thought were necessary. Due to the alterations, Ahlam was forced to postpone the release of the album, which was previously scheduled to be launched in March.
According to the London based weekly, Laha, Ahlam revealed that she is working one on one with her production company Alam El Phan, and added that she is willing to delay the release if it means a better quality. Some of the changes Ahlam made included replacing songs with ones she felt will be more popular among her fans.
On a different note, Ahlam has denied circulating rumors that she depends on her husband’s fortune to support her singing career and stressed that she receives a total of one million US dollars for every album she releases. The singer revealed that she had signed a contract with Alam El Phan to submit three albums, each for one million, and she has so far submitted one.
Ahlam stressed that the support she receives from her husband is far from financial, but that of a loving husband who respects her career and does not interfere in the decisions she makes. Ahlam added that her first priority in her life is her son, Fahed, and her husband, and everything else come after that.
Recently, a UAE court has released the verdict in the lawsuit by Ahlam against the Arabic magazine Zahret Al Khaleeg stating that the latter is innocent of all accusations made by the singer. The case goes back a year and a half when the singer filed a lawsuit against the magazine for publishing lies about her in one of their articles regarding her marriage.
