Amal Araf to Sing in Bedouin, Egyptian and Syrian Accent
Syrian actress Amal Araf recently traveled to Egypt, where she will meet with several poets and composers while working on an album, according to ArabStars.Net.
Araf is planning to release the new album with songs performed in the Syrian, Bedouin and Egyptian accents, her first such effort. The Syrian star has previously released three albums, the last one of them entitled Ahar Men Al Jamar, which was received last year with great acclaim.
Araf started her singing career back when she was 16 years old, but later found herself drawn towards acting. Over the last ten years, she has been a presenter for several series and TV episodes on Syrian television.
The singer actually characterizes herself as more of an actress who knows how to sing than the reverse – Albawaba.com
