After a nearly two year absence Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi has made a come back with her new album “Keef Al Qamar” (How’s The Moon), released by music production company ‘Rotana.’ The album features 10 songs.
Amal will start filming the video for the first from the album song soon. Sources claim that Amal spent a large amount of money on her wardrobe for the video.
The photograph for the album cover was taken by David Abdullah and was designed by George Yousif.
Her previous album “Baya’ Al Ward” (Flower Merchant) generated criticism after Amal appeared on the album cover and in a video clip wearing a T-Shirt displaying a symbol associated with gay people.
Under pressure, Amal apologized in front of the media in Dubai. ‘Rotana’ was forced to re-film the clip for the song “Ya Baya’ Al Ward” and to redistribute it.
According to the London daily Elaph, Amal has severed ties with her previous manager Sharbal Damoot, although the two are on good terms. Rumors climes they had a romantic relationship, but could not marry since they practice different religions.
