Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi has announced that she is preparing to go on tour around the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />United States of America and Canada during the month of February 2005. The singer revealed that Lebanese impressionist Bassem Farghali and Tony Khalifa, who will hold different contests for the audience and will present them with prizes.
According to the London based Elaph, the singer has recently held a very successful concert during the Muslim holiday Eid El Fitr alongside Lebanese singer Fadel Shaker, which marked the first time the two sing together, and plans on holding two New Years Eve concerts in Lebanon at the Venice hotel and Al Sufara Palace.
Amal is also in the process of filming her second music video from her latest album, which was released under the production of Rotana. The singer will begin shooting the clip at the end of December for the song “Bitdour Ala Kalbi” under the production of Saeed Al Marouq.
The album marks Amal's last under the production of Rotana according to the agreement signed between both parties. During the signing ceremony of Hijazi’s latest album “Bitdawar Ala Albi” (Looking for my Heart), events took an unusual turn making the evening filled with heat. The first thing that heated up the atmosphere was the unintentional sparks that broke out from the fire works resulting in a big fire. Second thing that heated the night was the questions of journalists who started by asking her if she paid Rotana production company the money for such a huge party. Amal denied paying any money and said that the touches of director Simon Asmar made the party look so grand.
