After a prolonged absence from the scenes, Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi plans on releasing a new single “Ba’ed Sineen” (After Years). The singer also plans on filming music video for the song, but has not yet chosen a director.

The last appearance by Amal was in the music video “Bitdour Ala Albi” (Searching for my heart) under the direction of Nadine Libky.

Amal has revealed that this summer she intends on holding a number of concerts the first being on July 31 for Military. The singer will sing alongside prominent singer Milhim Barakat and Tony Kiwan at the private performance.

According to the London based Elaph, the second performance Amal will hold is on August 5, at the Style festival sponsored by Rotana. The singer will hold other concerts in Lebanon and around the Arab world.

Amal has been accused of imitating Lebanese singer Alissa, especially in her latest clip.

Amal has denied copying Alissa, stressing that each of them has her own unique style.

Amal added that her song “Bitdawir Ala Albi” was filmed long before Alissa’s song “Hubbak Waja” and has been airing on different satellite channels for some time now.

The two singers are known to be on bad terms, and make it a point to avoid each other.
