Amal Hijazi warns against fame

Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi has revealed that she has kept a low profile in the past period due to the tragic conditions that clouded over the region, specifically with the recent assassination of Lebanese journalist Jubran Tweiny.
According to the London based Elaph, despite these conditions, Amal stressed that she is hopeful about the New Year and hopes things will change to the better.
With regards to the new rush of singers coming out today, Amal noted that she is positive that the fame of these singers is only temporarily and will soon fade out. she added that people are beginning to realize that these new singers do not present any real talent and are only about looks.
Hijazi announced that she broke up with her fiancé after a long secret love affair. The man in Amal’s life was her business manager, Sharbil, but the singer asserted that after their breakup she intends on ending their business relationship as well, and is seeking a new manager.
Rumors claim the reason behind their breakup was that Amal’s family refused to consent to a civil instead of a religious ceremony. Each hoped to have the ceremony according to his or her own faith; Amal is Muslim and Sharbil is Christian, and could not come to terms.
After a long absence from the scenes, Amal plans on releasing a new single “Ba’ed Sineen” (After Years). The singer also plans on filming music video for the song, but has yet to choose a director.
