Egyptian prominent singer Amal Maher has wrapped up recording two songs written by prince Khaled al Faisal and composed by Saudi musician Abdel Rubb Edris.

The first 17-minute song is entitled Fi Gheir Zaman (in another time) which is the same title for Maher’s album. She wrapped up the album Monday in the Saudi Arabian City of Jeddah in collaboration with Abdel Rubb Edris Corporation and is scheduled for release next Wednesday.

The second song is entitled Qaswa> (cruelty) and lasts for 13 minutes.

“Prince and poet Khaled al Faisal aimed by choosing Amal Maher to sing his poem at providing long classical songs in order to revive the atmosphere of glee which has disappeared,” Edris told the London-based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat.

The two new songs bring Faisal and Edris together after the successes they recorded in a number of their joint works. These include al Waad (the promise) composed by Edris few years ago and sung by the Saudi singer Abdel Majeed Abdulla in addition to their songs, which were performed, by the Kuwaiti singer Abdel Karim Abdel Qader -- Albawaba.com
