Amani, the Lebanese attractive and sophisticated belly dancer, performed her new dance show “Ayyam wa Layali Amani” at Caesar’s Palace at the Regency Palace Hotel in Beirut on Wednesday night.
Amani, accompanied by a dynamic and talented dance company, danced distinctively to ballads, personalized versions of Mozart and Verdi, musical mixes of famous techno and blues rhythms, and to Arabian and Mamalik tunes, according to The Daily Star.
The show consisted of two-parts and each part had eight separate dance themes. They portrayed a journey through time and space, with lavish costumes and sets, and original dance styles.
With the assistance of director, author and actor Gerard Avedissian, the show exhibited pure dance entertainment and a creative approach to theater.
Composer, musician, conductor and company manager Ali Reda supplied the perfect compliment to Amani’s style with new lyrics and songs.
In addition to Amani, well-known choreographers also assisted with the dance extravaganza including Georgette Gebara, Mahmoud Reda, Felix Haroutiounian, Francois Rahme, Sami al-Hajj, Vladimir and Galina Kabarukhin.
Young set designer Yehia Saadeh developed an outstanding design creation for the show.
The impressively inventive costume designs by Fouad Sarkis also enriched the production.
