The prominent Egyptian actress Amina Rizq whose artistic career goes back to more than 50 years, as she has been contemporary with all stars and played many types of roles, is gearing up for the forthcoming Ramadhan to play a unique role in the series Ayna Qalbi (Where is My Heart?).

Costarring in the series scripted by Magdi Saber and directed by Magdi Abu Amirah are Yusra, Abla Kamel and Mahmoud Qabil.

“Since I have recently faced a health crisis, I have been enjoying artwork and taking it as a hobby. I have lately found a good role in the series Ayna Qalbi scripted by Magdi Saber,” Rizq told the daily al Gomhuria.

She added, “I will play the role as the mother of Wisal (Abla Kamel), a woman from a veteran countryside family which has its own marriage traditions. The mother inherits large agricultural lands and real estates from her family but she is very strict with her daughter. She refuses her marriage until the girl reaches 40 while she stays single; the fact that leads to disputes with her mother. Ultimately the daughter reaches reconciliation with her mother but this does not last long due to the mother’s death. The mother’s memory stays in the mind of the daughter, Wisal.”

The veteran actress said, “I performed all kinds of roles including a small girl at Yousef Wahbeh’s theater, young woman, wife, mother and grandmother. I played romantic, love, queen and destitute roles. I participated in approximately 100 films and presented all what I wanted. I lived my best days on the stage and now I am living the beautiful artistic memories and not feeling sorry for anything. I am satisfied and happy to have dedicated myself for art as I lived through it all feelings of love, motherhood and marriage. I, in fact, married art which gave me a lot.” -- Albawaba.com
