The famous Egyptian superstar Amr Diab was scheduled to perform a New Year’s Eve concert in Beirut with the American music group Aba Fever and Lebanese artist Melissa, but at the last minute the concert was canceled.
Diab announced the cancelation was due to a dispute with the company that organized the concert.
Diab was upset over the rumors that blamed him for the cancellation and that the organizing company did not secure visas for the music group to enter Lebanon and did not pay for their stay in Beirut.
Diab is taking legal action against the company that organized the concert, in an effort to reimburse the tickets they purchased.
As for the concert planners Jan Saliba and Danni Fares they put the blame on Diab for the cancelation of the concert and they made sure that he had violated the signed contract between them. They said that Diab was scheduled to come to Lebanon last Tuesday two days before the concert date, instead he sent his manager who came to put new condition on the contract. The condition that Diab’s manager wanted to add were first to have a car rented to stay with him and to buy cell phone lines for the entire crew working with him.
Diab also requested to stay in a hotel where all expenses are paid for, despite the fact that he owns a house in Lebanon.
