Prominent Egyptian singer Amr Diab has recently completed the final touches on his upcoming new album, which is his first work under the music production company Rotana. Amr revealed that the new album will hold his personal spice and style, in a time the singer is seeking to widen his success over the Arab world.
The new album entitled “Khaleena Neshoufak” (Let Us See You) is the fruit of extended cooperation between Amr and Rotana, and is expected to hold a unique style never presented by Amr before. The album has been processed in some of the finest studios around the world, as part of efforts by Amr to be an international singer.
Amr had also finished shooting the main song in the new Album entitled “Khaleena Neshoufak”, in addition to deciding to shoot another song from the album entitled “Sallamtek”. Shooting of the music video is expected to be completed during this month, and the whole album is expected to be released next April.
Diab expressed his joy at winning two titles one for best singer for 2003, and the second for best musical video for the song “Ana Ayesh” (I am Alive) according to a poll done by Nile variety TV.
Diab added that he would be giving his fans a new surprise for this year, which is a new musical movie, but Amr said that the female star has not been chosen yet.
Amr stressed that he was in shock to learn that many of his songs from the new album were leaked to the black market and pirated copies are being sold. He also expressed his anger at the fact that his album is being sold on the streets for a price of only 10 Egyptian pounds, a matter that negatively reflects on the success of the album upon its official release. Amr revealed that this is not the first time he is exposed to such pirating of his albums before their official release.
Amr is always looking for new ideas and styles to introduce to his fans that are unique and have not been used before. The singer is always careful that even the words he chooses for his songs are different from all other in the hope of staying on top and meeting the high expectations of his audience. –Albawaba.com
