He also talked about the agonies he went through by not being famous singing at nightclubs and the tight budget he was forced to live on which in most cases led him to borrow from friends and family.
Amr will present his biography in the form of a TV series on the new music satellite channel Mazika, which is owned by producer Muhsin Jaber in addition to Amr holding a percentage of the shares, in 25 episodes narrated by Amr himself. Amr previously refused all offers he had received by a number of stations to buy the rights to his life story.
The president of the Middle East radio station in Egypt underwent negotiations with the singer to accept the leading role in a new radio drama to be aired next Ramadan (the Muslim fasting month) directed by Hussein Ibrahim. Hussein revealed that Amr gave his initial acceptance and preparations are underway for finding a suitable script.
