Angelina Jolie takes Alexander the Great to Morocco
American actress Angelina Jolie is scheduled to travel to Morocco on September 22, 2003 to shoot the scenes for the upcoming film “Alexander the Great” by prominent director Oliver Stone. Marrakech has been chosen as the most appropriate location to shoot the scenes of the film.
According to the London based Elaph, the producers and directors of the film have recently met with Morocco’s leader King Mohammad VI, where they talked about the film and different areas around Morocco that will be also needed to film some scenes. King Mohammad VI has stressed that he and his people will make all the needed arrangements to ensure that nothing gets in the way of filming the movie.
The film’s budget has reached over 150 million US dollar, in which a large some of it will be spent in Morocco. Upon completion of her scenes in Morocco, Angelina will head off to London to finalize the remaining work on the film.
On a different note, during a press conference at the special screening of her new film “Tomb Raider II”, Angelina frankly pointed out that she has not been in any kind of relationship with any man for more than year. She noted that since her divorce, her love life has witnessed a downturn, and that she is very lonely. Angelina shocked everyone at the press conference with her openness and her final statement that God help the man whom she will end up with. –Albawaba.com
