Egyptian singer Angham has experienced an unexpected downfall in her health condition as she was struck with an extremely high fever that called for her hospitalization. The singer was restricted to not leave her bed for at least three days and until her fever is gone.
According to the Egyptian weekly, Al Nogoom, Angham said that she became ill as a result of people's jealousy and envy of her. She said that people have been making comments on how she has gained success and how she holds outstanding talents, in turn causing her to become sick. She added that the real downfall from people's ruthless envy came when she released her latest album.
Late last month, a man, who was arrested by Egyptian police with a total of 170 thousand Egyptian pounds along with other currencies in his possession, claimed that 28 US dollars were given to him by Angham. The crook confessed that the singer had given him the amount in order to circulate her tapes in the black market. The man arrested admitted to authorities that Angham had asked him to circulate her records in the black market to gain more popularity since people tend to buy more tapes and CDs from the black market than from regular record stores.
When Angham was questioned, she was forced to deny all the allegations against her in order to clear her name. Angham strongly stated that she never met the man before and stressed that she did not give him any money to do such a thing, in turn loosing any right to claim her money once more.
On a different note, Angham was faced a major embarrassment at one of her concerts in Dubai when she discovered that the sound systems were outdated and suddenly stopped working in December last year. Ahlam decided that despite the inconvenience she would continue the concert cutting short the number of songs to be performed.
The singer realized that the sound systems were bad and too old before the concert and raised her concern to the sponsors, but she was told to relax and that the systems were in good condition and nothing bad will go wrong. The minute the singer went on stage the sound systems went down causing her the agony of having to go through such an ordeal. The sponsors apologized to the singer after the concert but it was too late, the embarrassment had already been experienced.–Albawaba.com
