Angham cuts Dubai concert short after an embarrassing setback with the sound systems

Egyptian singer Angham has faced a major embarrassment at one of her concerts in Dubai when she discovered that the sound systems were outdated and suddenly stopped working. According to the Egyptian weekly magazine, Al Nojoom, Ahlam decided that despite the inconvenience she would continue the concert cutting short the number of songs to be performed.  

The weekly added that Angham realized that the sound systems were bad and too old before the concert and raised her concern to the sponsors, but she was told to relax and that the systems were in good condition and nothing bad will go wrong. The minute the singer went on stage the sound systems went down causing her the agony of having to go through such an ordeal. The sponsors apologized to the singer after the concert but it was too late, the embarrassment had already been experienced. 

On a similar note, earlier this year Angham decided to take seclusion refusing to perform at any concert or answer any phone calls after an embarrassing performance at the eight Cairo International Song Festival. This was attributed to the shocking behavior of the management of the festival, who decided to draw down the curtains while she was still performing on stage. The singer had earlier given the nod for performing at the opening ceremony of the festival through singing a long series of songs.  

“The management of the festival is bound by a fixed time to end up her concert, Angham’s orchestra was late and thus we were spurred to cut from her concert to wrap up the first day of the festival on time,” one the management officials has commented. –Albawaba.com
