After a period of taking time off from her singing career, Egyptian singer Anoshka will mark her return at the end of November and will be holding a number of performances at the Cairo Opera House. The singer’s return comes after a vacation she had took once she completed shooting the scenes of the television drama “Al Mursi Wal Bahar” (The Sailor and the Anchor) alongside prominent Egyptian actor Yahia Al Fakharani.
In the drama, Anoshka played the role of Maria, who saves a man from a conspiracy and then lives a love affair with him. After some time the man leaves Maria and returns after twenty years to find out she has a son from him.
Anoshka faced many negative criticism for the role she played, but she was over whelmed with the positive reviews she received for her ability to play the role of Maria in her young and old years. The singer revealed that this drama is the first she has done in many years.
The upcoming period will witness extensive work sessions for Anoshka as she will be recording the new songs for her upcoming album.
Anoshka is anxiously awaiting the date of her big performance at the Opera House. It was revealed that the singer will most likely hold several performances at the Opera House throughout the year.
Anoshka revealed that she will perform a number of romantic songs in addition to several traditional songs that have been remixed. Anoshka stressed that singing at the Opera House has a different flavor than singing elsewhere and holds great significant making her performance more memorable.
