Spanish actor Antonio Banderas is in talks to star in Fu Manchu directed by compatriot Alex de la Iglesia, Daily Variety reported Monday.
The film, about a Latino FBI agent stricken with amnesia while in pursuit of an evil Chinese doctor, would be Banderas' first project with a Spanish director in five years.
Filming on the $15-20 million-dollar Lolafilms production is scheduled to start in 2001.
Banderas' last movie for a Spanish director was Fernando Trueba's 1995 film, Loco de Amor (Love-Crazy). – AFP.
