Egyptian singers Mohammed Al Hilo and Nadia Mustafa are currently preparing a duet, while Ehab Tawfiq is gearing up to form a duo with the Tunisian singer Thekra, according to the Arabic daily Al Sharq Al Awsat

In a meeting between them and a number of young writers and composers, Hilo and Mustafa agreed to perform a duet. The singers declined to give more details despite the fact that they set the Fitr Feast as a date for releasing it.

For his part, Egyptian singer Ehab Tawfiq is waiting for the Tunisian singer Thekra to begin shooting a video for a duet directed by Mohsen Ahmed and shot in the Egyptian resort of Sharm Al Sheikh. Tawfiq is keeping mum about the duet in order to protect it against theft.

The Arab singing arena has recently witnessed a growing tendency towards duets.

Singers are apparently encouraged by the success this style has achieved in comparison with solo songs, since the duet appeals to the fans of both performers – Albawaba.com
