Arwa and a crime at the north shore
Yemeni female artist Arwa just finished recording a number of songs for the introduction of a few television drama series.
One of the series “Jarimah Fe Al Sahel Al Shamali” (A Crime At The North Shore), will be aired on various television channels during the holy month of Ramadan. The new series is created by Muhammad Al Basosi and directed by Abed Al LAtif Zaki. Dr. Adel Hussein is producing the new series and it will star Egyptian actress Hala Sodqi and Egyptian actor Mahmoud Qabeel.
According to the London daily Elaph, the songs were written by Hatem Abed Al Rahman, composed by Karim Arafah, distributed by Ayman Al Turky and the sound engineer is Yaser Hussein.
She also finished recording a song for the drama series “Jidar Al Qaleb” (Fence OF The Heart), written by Ahmad Abed Al Rahman and directed by Ahmad Saqer. The series stars Egyptian actors Samira Ahmad, Samir Sabri, Mustafa Fahmi, Ahmad Maher and Raja Al Jidawi. The song for the series was written by the great poet Baha Al Deen Muhammad, composed by Ziad Al Taweel and distributed by Adel Haqi.
Arwa gave the song as a present to the cast and crew of the series “Jidar Al Qaleb” and was not paid.
Arwa’s song “Mkhabi Alya” (Hiding from Me), sung in the Egyptian dialect has been very successful,
She is getting ready to film a music video clip for a new song in the Lebanese dialect called “Al Qisa Betool” (The Story Says) that was composed and distributed by Jan Marry Richy. Arwa has not decided on a director.
Arwa will soon launch a solo single song in the Khaliji (Gulf) dialect called “Youm Wahed” (One Day), written by Prince Faisal Bin Khaled Bin Sultan, composed by Muhammad Bodleh, distributed by Khaled Iz and Hani Farahat. The video will be directed by Toni Qahwaji.
