According to the Jordanian daily Al Rai, the famous Syrian artist Asala agreed to star in the new musical “Al Amirah Wal Sa’look” (The Princes and the Gang Member) opening at the Cairo National Theatre.
Asala has decided to begin her acting career through the Egyptian theatre.
The new musical was attractive to Asala since she will be singing most of her role.
This makes her feel more comfortable, said Asala.
Asala will be singing poems by Saed Hijab and will hold sessions with the poet as part of her preparation.
The producers will nominate the stars that will be performing with Asala in the near future. Hijab said that the new play will not open for another year because of the intense decorations and details of the production.
