During her stay in Lebanon, Syrian singer Asalah Nasri attended a concert for Lebanese singers Wael Kfoury, Maya Nasri, and impersonator Bassim Faghali. While at the event, Wael unexpectedly called on Asalah to come on stage to sing with him.

According to the London based Elaph, Asalah and Wael sang a collection of songs in the form of duets surprising the audience. This was not the first time Asalah was called on stage by surprise by a singer. She has previously held sudden duets with Saber Riba'ei, Mu'een Sharif, and recently with Fadil Shaker in Doha Oman.

Wael has recently released his latest album "Toul Omri" (All My Life) in stores, while Nasri has moved on to a new team of composers after ceasing all contact with her former composer Mohammad Diaa El Din, who composed some of her most popular songs like "Ma Ba'ash Ana" (I Wouldn’t be Me). Asalah made her decision after Mohammad Diaa who was married to her sister divorced her.

Asalah said that the family situation makes it impossible for her to work with Mohammad. She added that she is not prepared to put her relationship with her sister on the line for El Din. It was also known that Asalah is facing a number of marital problems with her husband. Close contacts to the couple have revealed that the two are heading for a possible divorce in the very near future.

Asalah Nasri, the daughter of the well-known singer, Mustafa Nasri, began her singing career at the age of nine focusing on national and children’ songs. Her quick rise to stardom dates from her early television appearances, the first of which was on the Lebanese TV program “Stars” produced by Jordanian Hasib Yousef. Further television appearances have made her a popular star all over the Arab World. -Albawaba.com
