Asalah Nasri denies getting a divorce

Syrian singer Asalah Nasri has strongly denied circulating rumors that she has gotten a divorce from her second husband, Egyptian director Tareq Al Arian, whom she has been married to for a few months only.
Asalah asserted that her relationship with Tareq is based on true love and mutual respect, adding that she will not allow anyone to interfere in her private life and create problems for her. The singer stated that she is not going to waste her time worrying about what some sick individuals write in tabloids and they are only out to hurt her.
Finally, after months of denial and secrecy, prominent Asalah tied the knot with Tareq in Cairo. The couple held a private ceremony amidst an intimate group of close friends and family members.
On a different note, most music production companies in the Arab World have postponed the release of albums while Lebanon is at war with Israel, although ‘Rotana’ has bucked the trend and released prominent Syrian singer Nasri’s latest album (Hayati) (My Life), her second release with the company.
Asalah tried to convince ‘Rotana’ to postpone the release, arguing it was inappropriate while so many Lebanese are dying from the Israeli offensive.
The singer argued the success of the album would be negatively affected by the decision, but “Rotana’ officials were not convinced.
The feature song “Hayati,” also the album title, takes listeners through her life’s journey. Asalah said the album is her life transformed into words and music.
Asalah dedicated the song “Bain Eidaik” (In Your Arms) to her new husband Tareq, and another song is dedicated to her children.
The album is Asalah’s first releases after divorcing her ex-husband Aiman Al Thahabi, and marrying director Tareq Al Arian.
Shortly after Asalah married Tareq, she began recording the songs for her album.
Rumors began circulating that Asalah's ex-husband filed a lawsuit against her demanding that she pay a 5 million US dollar fine for breaking their contract.
Aiman claims Asalah signed a contract with him when they were married, giving him exclusive rights to her music. Asalah denied a contract existed and continues to characterize him as a bitter ex-husband.
